The entire Central India has been reeling under dry and warm weather for quite some time now. In fact, the day as well as night temperatures have settled above normal by three to six degrees over Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Vidarbha region during the last few days. Thus, residents have been experiencing discomfort weather.

Yesterday, Gwalior recorded the day temperature at 36.2°C, Betul 35.2°C, Jabalpur 34.7°C and Pendra 34.9°C. Meanwhile, Raipur registered of the minimum at 23°C and Indore at 20.8°C, today.
According to Skymet Weather, an upper air trough is expected to form which will be extending from East Uttar Pradesh and adjoining Bihar up to Vidarbha region. Moreover, an anti-cyclone is over Northwest Bay of Bengal which is inducing moisture over Chhattisgarh and adjoining region.

Thus, light rain and thundershowers, accompanied with strong winds are expected. Meanwhile, hailstorm at isolated places cannot be ruled out over eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh and northern districts of Chhattisgarh.
Hence, slight relief will be observed during the next 24 hours over these cited states of Central India from the persisting warm weather as maximums are expected to see some drop as well. Meanwhile, the sky is likely to remain partly cloudy to cloudy.
Thereafter, dry weather will again commence over the regions, accompanied with warm days and comfortable nights.
