Rain likely in North Nagaland, rest of the state to remain dry

Presently, the state of Nagaland has been witnessing dry weather conditions. Moreover, days have remained cool and comfortable along with cold nights over most portion of the state. As a consequence, we could say that the weather has stayed comfortable all across Nagaland.

Now, as per Skymet Weather, scattered light rain and thundershowers are likely to affect the northern districts of the state such as Mon, Mokokchung, Longleng and Tuensang between February 2 and 4.

Thereafter, the weather would once again become dry, but the sky will remain partly cloudy for an additional two to three days. During this spell of rain, maximum temperatures are likely to fall by two to three degrees. However, the weather conditions will continue to be comfortable. Meanwhile, night temperatures would remain near the normal levels.

Meanwhile, the other states of Northeast India including Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura and Meghalaya would continue to witness dry weather. Day and nights would remain comfortable over the mentioned regions. Besides this, no rainfall is foreseen over the areas.

However, eastern parts of Assam and Arunachal Pradesh may witness light to moderate rain and thundershowers during this time period. In fact, isolated parts in the higher reaches of Arunachal Pradesh may even observe light snowfall activity.
