After witnessing cold day conditions for the last few days, Uttar Pradesh and adjoining areas of Madhya Pradesh could now experience rain in the next 48 hours. A cyclonic circulation over Madhya Pradesh could work in tandem with the expected Western Disturbance over Jammu & Kashmir to bring rain in the region tomorrow onwards. Almost entire Madhya Pradesh and Uttar Pradesh will witness rain and clouds during this period.
Both the states have been witnessing precipitation and clouds due to back to back cyclonic circulations that emerged in Rajasthan and shifted eastwards towards Madhya Pradesh. In fact due to cloud cover, the day temperatures are below normal in northern parts of Madhya Pradesh and entire Uttar Pradesh.
Maximums in these parts could rise tomorrow and drop thereafter to settle below normal again. Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh saw minimum drop 7°C below the normal on Wednesday morning but the day temperature today could rise by 6-7°C due to relatively clear sky and light fog. Day temperature in capital Bhopal could also drop significantly on Thursday after recording a maximum of 26°C on Wednesday.
Maximum in Lucknow, the capital of Uttar Pradesh and Kanpur was 7°C below normal on Wednesday. They would remain in the same range for the coming few days. Lucknow recorded 15.8°C as the maximum temperature on Wednesday while, Kanpur settled at 15.6°C.
