The hills of North India, i.e., Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand have received very less rainfall in the last few days as no significant weather system was seen over the Western Himalayas. These areas were only observing scattered clouds. Due to this, rise in temperatures was also seen as the maximum temperatures were above normal by 2-3 degrees.

Currently, a Western Disturbance is seen approaching the Western Himalayas. Weather activities are expected to start from Jammu and Kashmir and will further move forward towards Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
Now, we expect clouding over the entire region. Scattered rainfall accompanied with squall, strong winds and hailstorm activities are likely to occur over the states of Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand.
However, all these activities will be confined to only a few pockets and the intensity is expected to be less. The weather conditions will be seen easing out again by April 29.
Therefore, if you are planning to beat the sizzling summer heat by taking a trip to the hilly spots of North India, the next couple of days are the favorable time to visit one. While pleasant weather with cool morning and nights are on cards for the northern hills, rains for the upcoming days would also not be a trouble for the visitors.
