The weather in Rajasthan has remained mostly dry for quite few days now. The residents of the state have been dealing with very warm weather conditions and above normal temperatures. So much so that the discomfort could be felt during the afternoon hours.

However, tables are likely to turn as a trough is seen forming from Northwest Rajasthan up to Southeast Madhya Pradesh. With this, clouding is expected to increase over many parts of Rajasthan by afternoon.
Hence, light rains may begin over southeastern parts of Rajasthan by tonight and by tomorrow, we can expect scattered light to moderate rain and thundershowers right from Northwest to Southeast Rajasthan across central districts of the state.

Cities like Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Jaisalmer, Bundi, Kota and Ajmer are expected to witness this spell of rain. State capital, Jaipur might also see some light showers.
According to Skymet Weather, isolated areas are expected to witness hailstorm activities too. During this time, freezing level usually remains around 3 km andwhen the top of the cloud reaches around 6 km to 7 km, the probabilities of hailstorm surges.
Weathermen expect the rain intensity to decrease considerably around March 9, paving way for clear and dry weather conditions. With this, maximum temperatures will start mounting again.
However, with the upcoming spell of rain, we expect marginal drop in day temperatures, whereas slight rise in night temperatures during the next two to three days.
