During the last 24 hours, the northern and western parts of Madhya Pradesh have received light to moderate rain and thundershowers. Instances of hailstorm were also reported from one or two pockets.

The weather in the remaining parts remained completely dry with partly cloudy sky conditions. The temperatures also settled slightly above normal. Meanwhile, Chhattisgarh observed dry weather conditions with clear skies.

According to Skymet Weather, rain in parts of Madhya Pradesh within the past 24 hours was due to the Western Disturbance (WD) over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced Cyclonic Circulation over Northwest Rajasthan.

Both systems have now moved east/northeastwards and WD is lying over Jammu and Kashmir with its induced Cyclonic Circulation over West Madhya Pradesh.

According to meteorologists, these systems would be further moving in the east/northeast direction. Moreover, a wind Confluence Zone is likely to develop over Madhya Pradesh, which will be affecting eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh region during the next 24 to 36 hours.

Places like Satna, Sidhi, Rewa, Umaria, Katni, Damoh, Jabalpur, Shahdol, Pendra Road, Raipur etc, may observe light rain with gusty winds. Sky conditions are expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy.

On the other hand, the western parts of the state may remain dry with a rise in day temperature. However, the night temperature may fall by a couple of degrees.
