Rain likely in Indore, Bhopal, Ujjain, Khandwa

Rains have remained far and few from occurring over the centermost state of the country, Madhya Pradesh. The last rains the state has witnessed were during the second week of the month.

However, during that time also, the intensity of rain was light. Since then, the state has been dry and the temperatures are witnessing a rising trend.

Due to rising mercury levels, very warm afternoons are being continued over the region. As of now also, no significant weather system is likely to develop over and around Madhya Pradesh. And thus, not many changes are anticipated in the weather conditions of the state, warm days with mainly clear sky would continue for the next 24 hours.

As per Skymet Weather, a trough is expected to form over Madhya Pradesh and would extend up to parts of West Madhya Pradesh. Moreover, a cyclonic circulation is also likely to form over Rajasthan and adjoining belt by February 23.

Southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea and winds from the Bay of Bengal are also reaching over parts of West Madhya Pradesh. Thus, the conditions are favorable for thundercloud development over parts of the state.

The clouding would increase from February 23 onwards. Isolated light rains may also be a chance on February 23. Meanwhile, scattered rains are expected on February 24 over West Madhya Pradesh. Stations like Khandwa, Dhar, Khargone, Indore, Harda, and Ujjain are likely to be the affected regions.

Thunderstorm and thundershowers with strong gusty winds and hailstorms may also be a chance at isolated places. The regions of East Madhya Pradesh like Bhopal and Jabalpur may also witness isolated activity.
