The state of Gujarat observes dry weather conditions during the month of February. Rainfall activity remains on the backfoot during this period. However, during the first half of the month, almost the entire state still gets the taste of the winter season.

During the second half of the month, temperatures do witness a rising trend, but maximums still remain around the 30-degree mark while minimums settle in the early teens.

However, the state, particularly the inland areas slip into the summer months quite quickly as the month of March sees a rising trend in the temperatures to quite an extent.  Maximums around the mid-30s become a common affair while they even tend to cross the 35-degree mark on many occasions. Meanwhile, coastal stations during this time witness humid weather conditions.

However, this time, temperatures have witnessed an increasing trend in February itself. Thus, for the last few days, temperatures have remained on the higher side.

Let us take a look at the table below which contains the present minimum and maximum temperatures

A weather system is likely to travel across Rajasthan and adjoining Gujarat. Thus, in the next few days, thunderstorm or rain is expected over some areas. This weather activity is expected around February 24.

During this time, central and southern parts of Gujarat are expected to witness some weather activity. Thus, cities including Ahmedabad, Vadodara and Bharuch will observe some rain or thunderstorm.

Thereafter, around February 26 and 27, Kutch and neighbouring Saurashtra along with north and central parts of Gujarat may witness some rainfall activity. Thus, cities of Bhuj, Mandvi, Idar, Deesa, Surendranagar, Mehsana along with Ahmedabad may record some thunderstorm and even showers are possible.

The weather of Gujarat usually remains dry during this time. Thus, the upcoming spells will be unseasonal for the state.
