At present a cyclonic circulation lies over Gangetic West Bengal and adjoining Northwest Bay of Bengal and Costal Odisha. The trough is titling southwestwards with height. Under the influence of this cyclonic circulation, a low-pressure is expected over the area.
Due to all these conditions, we expect rainfall activity to increase significantly over Gangetic West Bengal, North and Coastal Odisha during the next 48 hours. Strong gusty winds and lighting also may occur over few places of West Bengal and Odisha.
Talking about the capital cities i.e. Kolkata and Bhubaneshwar, moderate rainfall activity will be observed over these cities.
