The state of Gujarat saw deficient rains until Monsoon had made an appearance over the region. In fact, Monsoon had made a delayed onset over the state of Gujarat while the entire country saw Monsoon covering the region about half a month before it usually does.
After Monsoon arrived over the state of Gujarat, heavy rains were recorded over some parts of Gujarat. In fact, flooding rains were also seen over isolated pockets, particularly over the city of Valsad.

In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Wednesday, Valsad once again recorded three digit rains to the tune of 158 mm, Vadodara 28.4 mm, Bhavnagar 7.6 mm, Dwarka 5 mm, Idar 10.1 mm, Surat 10.1 mm, Ahmedabad 0.7 mm, Amreli 1.8 mm, Rajkot 0.6 mm, and Naliya 2.8 mm.
Now, as per Skymet Weather, moderate rainfall activity with isolated heavy spells of rains are expected to continue over South Gujarat region for the next 48 hours or so. Cities including Valsad, Surat, Dang, Narmada and Navsari may see moderate to heavy rains.
Rest of the state of Gujarat including particularly Veraval, Porbandar, Rajkot and Ahmedabad will see scattered light rainfall activity. Thereafter, the intensity of these rains is expected to reduce.
