Weather in the state of Uttar Pradesh has remained dry for quite sometime. Moreover, the south and eastern parts of the state have been experiencing heat wave like conditions since the last two to three days wherein temperatures are in the range of 42 and 45 degrees Celsius.
Now, we are all set to see some Pre Monsoon rains for the state of Uttar Pradesh starting tomorrow. Rains will begin over northwestern parts of Uttar Pradesh tomorrow night and these rains will occur due to a fresh Western Disturbance over the Western Himalayas and its induced Cyclonic Circulation over the northwestern plains.
A Trough will also be extending up to West Uttar Pradesh. Moreover, moisture incursion will be continuing in the form of Southwesterly winds from the Arabian Sea.
Another weather system, an Anti Cyclone will be seen over the central parts of the country around 10,000 feet. This will be instrumental in moisture feed from Arabian Sea. Thus, isolated light dust storm and thunderstorm are likely over Northwest Uttar Pradesh along with the western parts on May 10 and 11.
On May 12, there may be a dip in rainfall activity. Thereafter, around May 13 will have the western and central parts of Uttar Pradesh witnessing rains and thundershower activities. However, the eastern parts may remain dry and only isolated thunderstorm is likely.
Places like Bulandshahar, Lucknow, Aligarh, Agra, Meerut, Muzaffarnagar, Lucknow, Kanpur and Hardoi may see isolated dust storm and light rains. Temperatures will start reducing from May 13 and the heat wave conditions which have been prevailing in Uttar Pradesh may subside.
Rain intensity may be more over Northwest Uttar Pradesh, scattered over West Uttar Pradesh and isolated over central parts.
