It seems that the rainy days are not yet over for parts of Telangana. Since last many days, rains have been lashing the state also including the capital of the state. In the last 24 hours as well, the state has received good showers with a few heavy spells at isolated places.

Within the span of 24 hours, from 08:30 am on Thursday, Ramagundam observed good rains of 37 mm, Adilabad 9 mm, Hyderabad 4.5 mm, and Nizamabad observed light rains of 1 mm.

Live status of rain and lightning over Telangana

As per Skymet Weather, the reason for these showers can be attributed to a trough which has formed from Lakshadweep Island to Vidarbha across Telangana and Karnataka. Moreover, the cyclonic circulation still persists over North Interior Karnataka.

However, now the trough is likely to move towards the interior parts of Kerala and Tamil Nadu. On account of this, rains and thunder squalls along with hailstorms are likely to show up at one or two pockets of the state in the next 24 hours.

Thereafter, the intensity of rain and thundershowers are expected to reduce. Mainly, hot and warm days will take over these rainy days. Early morning and evening are predicted to be comfortable across the state including the ‘city of nawabs’ but days will become warm resulting in the temperatures to scale up once again.

Skymet Weather further reiterates that this year summers are going to be hard for the country and pre-Monsoon showers have also arrived early.
