The Southwest Monsoon has already withdrawn from the western parts of Madhya Pradesh. In fact, the entire state of Madhya Pradesh is witnessing dry weather conditions since the last few days, as dry westerly winds continue to blow over the entire state.

At present, an anti- cyclone has formed over western parts of Madhya Pradesh. This weather system is bringing in hot winds from Rajasthan, thereby increasing day temperature. Thus, further also we expect the habitants of North and East Madhya Pradesh to experience dry and warm weather conditions.

Yesterday, the day temperatures in Gwalior and Khajuraho were settling at 37 degree Celsius and 38 degree Celsius, respectively. This clearly tells that the day temperatures over many parts of the state are settling in high-30s.

On the contrary, we expect isolated rain or thundershower activity to occur over southwestern parts of Madhya Pradesh. These regions will be experiencing rains due to the trough which is running from Southeast Arabian Sea to North Maharashtra Coast.

However, these rains will not last for many days and will be affecting isolated pockets only. Therefore, no relief in day temperatures is foreseen, the maximums will be high, leading to warm and dry weather.

Adding on to this, the minimum temperatures over many parts of the state may also increase marginally. This is because the probable time of weather activities will be around late afternoon or evening.
