Southern parts of the country have not seen a lot of rain in the past few days. Most of the low-pressure areas that have been forming have only affected the eastern as well as the central parts and the same is the case with the present one as well.

In fact, the states of Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and Karnataka are not expected to see any weather activities during the next few days. Moreover, this even may spread until Maharashtra which will also not see anything significant.

Southern parts of the country are on the hole deficient by 13% and barring the state of Tamil Nadu almost all the regions are deficit including Rayalaseema at -26%, south interior Karnataka at -24% while coastal Karnataka and north interior Karnataka in deficient by 2% each. Kerala on the other hand is an exception which is highly deficit by 45%

In the next coming days, West Coast may see some rain for the next about four to five days but not sufficient enough to decrease deficiency.
