The weather conditions over most parts of Maharashtra continued to remain dry. However, scattered rains were witnessed in the southern areas of Madhya Maharashtra during the last 24 hours where Sangli recorded heavy rains to the tune of 61 mm while Kolhapur saw light showers of 10 mm.

Now according to the weathermen in Skymet Weather, a cyclonic circulation is seen over southeast and adjoining east central parts of Arabian Sea. With this weather system in the vicinity of the state, we can expect scattered rain and thundershowers to persist in southern areas of Madhya Maharashtra along with isolated activities in South Konkan and Goa.
Places like Sangli, Satara, Kolhapur, Sindhudurga and Ratnagiri are expected to observe the rainy spells. Meanwhile, the weather over rest of the state comprising Marathwada, Vidarbha and North Madhya Maharashtra would remain dry.
Temperatures in Vidarbha are expected to settle in mid 30s while Konkan & Goa would have maximums in lower 30s.
Nights would stay cool in Interior Maharashtra and comfortable in the coastal regions.
As on September 25, Marathwada, Vidarbha and Madhya Maharashtra have seen deficient rains to the tune of -19%, -7% and -7%, respectively. Whereas Konkan & Goa attained surplus rains.
