We could say that reduction in rainfall over Madhya Pradesh during the last few days has pushed the rain surplus down.

Though, with the proximity of low-pressure area over Uttar Pradesh, north as well as the eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh have been witnessing good rainfall like Tikamgarh, Rewa, Sidhi, Satna, and Umaria.

But then, the weather has gone dry over the west and southern parts of the state like Ratlam, Ujjain, Bhopal, Betul, and Hoshangabad. In fact, these above stated areas were receiving heavy to extremely heavy rains during the last week of July.

During the past 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Rewa recorded rains to the tune of 27 mm, Umaria 22 mm, Gwalior 12 mm, Satna 7 mm, Mandla 3 mm, Khajuraho 2 mm and Jabalpur 1 mm.

Now, we expect subdued rainfall over north and West Madhya Pradesh, whereas east and northeast districts of the state may witness light to moderate for another 24 hours.

Afterward, the weather conditions are most likely to remain dry over the entire state with isolated rains that would be only localized.

There are high likelihoods of rain to revive over East Madhya Pradesh around August 7.
