Northern districts of Rajasthan such as Sriganganagar, Hanumangarh, Kalabar and adjoining areas have received scattered rains and thundershower activities during the last 24 hours. In fact, short spells of rain are still continuing over North Rajasthan and we expect these to remain intact till late night hours. These rains were attributed to an induced Cyclonic Circulation over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas. However, the weather system will move away eastwards and rains will make an exit from the state tomorrow onward.
Talking about temperatures, in wake northerly/northwesterly winds, minimums have decreased over Rajasthan in the last two days. However tomorrow onward, as the system moves away, icy cold winds from Western Himalayas will make an appearance. Thus, both day and night temperatures are expected to drop by 3℃ to 4℃ and minimums will reach below normal degree mark. However, the drop will not be a significant enough so as to induce Cold Wave conditions in Rajasthan, but Cold Wave conditions might reappear at one or two places of Rajasthan.
Moreover, at present the state is under the grip of winter chill. However, once the blow of northerly winds decreases, winter chill will also make an exit from the state.
