There is a cyclonic circulation lying over Vidarbha and adjoining areas. A trough is also extending from this system up to North Gujarat across Madhya Pradesh. These weather systems are affecting weather in Gujarat and Rajasthan as well. The state has received scattered rains on Saturday.

In a span of 24 hours, from 8.30 am on Saturday, Kota received 27 mm of rainfall, Chittorgarh 6 mm, Ajmer 2 mm and Bundi 1 mm of rainfall.

Skymet Weather expects many districts of Rajasthan to receive some more rains during next few days. Places like Kota, Bundi, Baran, Jhalawar and Chittorgarh to receive scattered rain and thundershowers. Rajsamand, Banswara, Pratapgarh and Dungarpur will also receive scattered rainfall activity.

This is the harvesting season for Kharif crops. Rainfall at this stage will affect the crop yield and quality as rain has the potential to damage the crops which are ready for harvesting.

This year during the Monsoon season, Rajasthan received very good showers. In fact, the state ended up with above normal rains. Seems like the rains will continue over the state during the first week of October as well.
