Rain in Raipur, Durg, Bastar, Bilaspur to reduce soon

Many parts of Chhattisgarh have already recorded scattered rains of light to moderate intensity in the past two days. As per weather experts, conditions have been favorable for a few good showers, particularly over the southern districts of the state such as Raipur, Rajnandgaon, Durg, Bastar, Mana and Jagdalpur.

These rains can be the result of the trough that is seen extending from East Uttar Pradesh up to Telangana across Chhattisgarh. This weather system would also give light rains over Ambikapur, Raigarh and Bilaspur.

However, now rains are most likely to decrease over Chhattisgarh after 24 to 48 hours. In the wake of this, maximum temperatures may mount over the region at most places and will settle in the lower 40s. So eventually, days would become hot and dry weather will continue. On a similar note, minimum temperatures are most expected to settle in mid to higher 20s, resulting in warm nights.

Monsoon spreads over the southern parts of the country by June 10. By June 15, it covers the entire state of Chhattisgarh. Likewise, this time also, we expect rains to begin over the southern districts of the state by June 7-8, and by June 10, we can expect Southwest Monsoon to arrive over South Chhattisgarh before time.
