The state of Maharashtra did receive some rainfall activity during the past few days. All thanks to the combined effect of the prevailing weather system in the Arabian Sea and the trough running across the state of Maharashtra. The coastal regions recorded rains in view of the Arabian Sea’s system while the trough gave rains over the interior parts.

However, the last 24 hours were dry enough for the entire state of Maharashtra as both the systems moved away from the region. Temperatures also witnessed a slight increase over these areas during this period.
Now, a trough which was extending along the East Coast affecting the weather of Tamil Nadu and interior parts of Karnataka is expected to move westwards. Thus, the trough will run across the Maharashtra region which will result in some rains over the southern parts of Madhya Maharashtra.
Due to the trough being feeble in nature, most parts of Maharashtra are expected to remain dry. However, cities in South Madhya Maharashtra including Satara, Sangli, Kolhapur, Sindhudurg, and Pune may see some light rainfall activity during the next 24 hours.
As far as the temperatures are concerned, they will continue to settle in the similar range and no significant change is expected due to these rains.
