The state of Maharashtra has been experiencing different shades of weather for the past few days. While there are areas where rains are on the higher side, there are regions where conditions are almost dry.
In fact, during the last 24 hours also. dry weather conditions prevailed over many parts of the state. However, scattered light rains have been occurring over North Madhya Maharashtra, parts of Vidarbha with a few moderate showers over South Konkan and Goa.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Tuesday, Mahabaleshwar recorded 14 mm of rain, Vengurla 13 mm, Bhira 4 mm, Ratnagiri 2 mm, Sangli 2 mm, Akola 2 mm, Nashik 2 mm, Kolhapur 1 mm with traces of rainfall being recorded over Amravati.

These weather conditions are being attributed to A trough extending from the cyclonic circulation over North Andhra Coast up to West Central Arabian Sea across parts of Maharashtra.
Thus, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, moderate showers will continue over South Madhya Maharashtra and South Konkan and Goa. Rains will also commence over North Konkan and Goa, as well as North Madhya Maharashtra.
Places like Raigarh, Ahmednagar, Nashik, Pune may witness light rains. Meanwhile, Mumbai will continue to witness dry weather. Along with this, isolated rains are possible over Marathwada with cities including Parbhani and Latur recording light rainfall activity.
