The state of Maharashtra has been constantly witnessing dry weather conditions that have led to a rise in the maximums over many parts of the state. In fact, a few regions of Madhya Maharashtra and Marathwada have clocked the daytime highs settling above the 35-degree mark, with a few stations even observing maximums close to the 38-degree mark.
On the other hand, the temperatures of Konkan and Goa region were comparatively on a better side. The maximums though settled under the 35-degree mark, due to close proximity to the Arabian Sea, the weather of coastal districts are humid and warm.
However, now Skymet Weather expects some light rain to show upon parts of Maharashtra. A cyclonic circulation can be marked over the northern parts of Madhya Maharashtra and adjoining regions at lower levels.

Simultaneously, an upper air trough is also extending from Lakshadweep to this cyclonic circulation across coastal Kerala and Karnataka. Hence, due to the presence of this system, light rain and thundershowers along with strong winds and hailstorm are expected during the next 24 hours over the northern parts of Madhya Maharashtra, adjoining West Vidarbha and parts of Marathwada. On the other hand, these rain and thundershowers would escape Konkan and Goa region for now.

The regions that could anticipate this rain and thunderstorm are Aurangabad, Jalgaon, Nashik, Buldhana, Akola, Beed, Ahmednagar, Pune, Jalna, and Parbhani.
Thereafter, this system would weaken, and clouds would start decreasing. As clouding would reduce over the region, the day temperatures would again start witnessing a rising trend. On the other hand, the night temperatures would reduce slightly.
