At present, a trough is extending from East Madhya Pradesh to Telangana across Vidarbha. A low-level trough also persists over South Konkan. Thus, during the last 24 hours, Madhya Maharashtra, Marathwada and Vidarbha witnessed light to moderate rain and thundershower activities. Isolated rains were also observed over the Konkan region. In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Tuesday, Parbhani recorded 11 mm of rain.
Heat wave conditions prevailed over many parts of Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada. Mainly dry weather with warm and humid conditions prevailed over rest parts of Maharashtra.
Now we expect light to moderate rain and thundershower activities over some parts of the state. Light rainfall is likely over the extreme southern parts of Madhya Maharashtra and Konkan Coast. Whereas, very light rain with isolated dust storm is likely over Vidarbha, Marathwada and Madhya Maharashtra.
Weather Alert: Rain and thundershower activities with gusty winds will occur over Ahmednagar, Aurangabad, Bid, Jalna, Kolhapur, Latur, Osmanabad, Parbhani, Pune, Raigad, Ratnagiri, Sangli, Satara, Sindhudurg and Solapur districts of Maharashtra during the next 2 hours.
Meanwhile, heat wave conditions will also continue over Vidarbha and adjoining Marathwada region. In fact, temperatures are expected to rise further in parts of Madhya Maharashtra.
Mumbai will experience warm and humid weather conditions. The maximum temperature of the city will settle near 35 degrees Celsius and the minimum temperature is likely to hover around 28 degrees Celsius.
