The states of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar have been experiencing dry weather conditions since the last many days, due to the prevalence of northwesterly winds.
In fact, in the last few days, the weather in Uttar Pradesh is comfortable but Bihar is witnessing little warm and uncomfortable weather conditions. Both the states are witnessing cool nights. And the sky conditions are sunny to partly cloudy.
At present, an upper air cyclonic circulation is seen over North Chhattisgarh and adjoining parts of Madhya Pradesh and Jharkhand region. A trough is extending from Jharkhand to Karnataka. This system is associated with a trough in westerly.

As all these weather systems will be moving east/northeastwards. Hence, with the combined effect of all these weather systems, during the next 24 hours, southeastern parts of Uttar Pradesh and southern parts of Bihar will receive spell of light rain and thundershower activities accompanied with strong winds.
Weather activities will continue in many parts of Bihar for the next 48 hours. Thereafter, Uttar Pradesh will become dry with rise in maximum temperatures. After 48 hours, Bihar will also witness dry weather conditions and subsequently the day temperatures will start rising.
Places such as Prayagraj, Mirzapur, Varanasi, Sonbhadra, Ghazipur, Jaunpur in Uttar Pradesh and Gaya, Aurangabad, Bhagalpur, Lakhisarai, Patna, Kishanganj, Purnea in Bihar will witness rain and thundershowers with strong winds.
