RAJASTHAN POST

The state of Rajasthan witnessed active Monsoon conditions during the last 24 hours, as many eastern parts of the state recorded heavy to very heavy rains. In fact, Bundi recorded 87 mm of rain and Kota 65 mm.

In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Ajmer 46 mm, Chittorgarh 34 mm, Jaipur 17 mm, Bhilwara 43 mm, Sawai Madhopur 29 mm, Pilani 12 mm, Mount Abu 10.2 mm, Jodhpur and Pali 6 mm.

At present, a low-pressure area lies over eastern parts of Rajasthan and adjoining region. Its associated cyclonic circulation is extending up to 4.5 km and titling southwestwards with extending of heights.

Due to the presence of this system, light to moderate rains will affect during the next 24 hours over Rajasthan. Thereafter, rainfall intensity will decrease as the above-mentioned system will weaken. Sky conditions will also remain cloudy to over cast.

However, only light rains were observed in pockets of Gujarat, as Ahmedabad recorded 1.2 mm of rain, followed by Deesa 1 mm and Rajkot 0.6 mm.

Now a cyclonic circulation lies over South Gujarat and adjoining region in the lower and mid-tropospheric level. Due to the presence of this system over cast to cloudy sky conditions will prevail during the next 24 hours. Spell of light rain is likely to affect over some places of Gujarat during the same period.

This system would be decreasing slowly hence rainfall activity will also decrease thereafter. Later on, warm and humid weather conditions will continue.
