In last 24 hours from 8:30 AM on Wednesday, scattered light rain and thundershowers along with few spells of hailstorm occurred over many districts of Madhya Pradesh such as Gwalior, Datia, Nowgaon, Satna, Jabalpur, Damoh, Sagar, Tikamgarh, Guna and Bhopal.
In fact, the northern districts of Madhya Pradesh such as Gwalior and its nearby areas have been experiencing occasional thundershowers since the last two days.
These weather activities have occurred in association with a confluence zone present over central and eastern parts of Madhya Pradesh and humid winds converging over MP from Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal.
We expect sporadic rains to continue over parts of Madhya Pradesh until tonight. Gradually, this confluence zone will shift towards Chhattisgarh by tomorrow. This will result in shift of rain belt towards eastern parts of the state, leaving remaining parts of Madhya Pradesh almost dry.
The minimum temperatures over Madhya Pradesh which are presently above normal by 4˚C to 7˚C will drop and settle near normal.
After 24 hours, from tomorrow we expect icy cold winds to start blowing over Madhya Pradesh. Minimums will fall further over the western and eastern parts of the state.
