Delhi-NCR region including Gurugram and Noida, are experiencing light to moderate rainfall activity since the last 24 hours. In fact, in the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Friday, Safdarjung Observatory has recorded 27 mm of rain, followed by Aya Nagar 49 mm, Delhi University 14 mm, Narela 18 mm, Palam 46 mm and Ridge 14 mm.
Since today morning as well, scattered places are witnessing light rainfall, which is further expected to increase.
At present, the Western Disturbance as an upper air system lies over northern parts of Pakistan and adjoining parts of Jammu and Kashmir. This system is expected to move in east/northeast direction.
Simultaneously the depression is also seen over southwestern parts of Madhya Prdaesh and adjoining region. It is likely to move in north/ northwest direction during the next 24 hours over to Northwest Rajasthan. Thereafter, this system is likely to recurve into north/ northeasterly direction.
There will be interaction between the above the two systems. Due to which, moderate rainfall activity will occur over Delhi-NCR region during the next 36-48 hours. Significant fall is day and night temperatures is also expected.
