Hot weather conditions prevailed over parts of Telangana during the last 24 hours. Similarly, parts of Andhra Pradesh also witnessed very warm and humid weather conditions. However, scattered places in Andhra Pradesh and isolated pockets of Telangana observed light to moderate rain and thundershower activities. In the last 24 hours from 08:30 am on Saturday, Kalingapatnam recorded 12 mm of rain.
At present, an upper air cyclonic circulation is marked over West central Bay of Bengal off Andhra Pradesh Coast at mid and upper tropospheric level. Further, we expect this weather system to intensity more.
In the wake of all these weather systems, clouds will increase gradually, and rain intensity will be spreading over to northern parts of Andhra Pradesh. While, eastern parts of Telangana will be getting affected during the next 24 hours, thereafter, spreading to entire state.
These weather activities will be accompanied by strong winds and are expected to continue for the coming four to five days. Moreover, due to rains, maximum temperatures over most places of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana will decrease, leading to relief from the ongoing heat.
Talking about the further advancement of Southwest Monsoon, in the coming days parts of Andhra Pradesh may also come under the influence of Monsoon.
