The states of Odisha, as well as West Bengal, have been witnessing rainy days for quite some time now.
However, in the last 24 hours, rains remained on the lower side with only very light showers.
Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, rains in Odisha of light intensity with a couple of moderate spells will continue for the next couple of days or so. On the other hand, the state of West Bengal will now observe dry weather conditions. However, a couple of places may see isolated rainfall activities in West Bengal during the next 24 hours or so.
Most parts will see dry and sunny weather in West Bengal. The city of Kolkata will also see dry weather on the day of Diwali. However, cities of Puri, Bhubaneswar, Gajapati, Ganjam, and Jharsuguda will see light to moderate rains.
This means that the weather of Odisha will not go completely dry in view of a Cyclonic Circulation over Odisha for another 24 hours. Thereafter, humid winds from the Bay of Bengal will continue to give scattered on and off winds. Also, there will be a merger of winds from Northwest with southeasterly winds from Bay of Bengal over Odisha will also have a rainy effect on the state.
In a nutshell, while West Bengal's dry weather will begin, the state of Odisha will continue to see on and off rains.
