Dry weather has been persisting over the state of Odisha for the last few days. Rains as it haven't been good enough for the state.
However, dry weather is all set to take a backseat and rainfall activity will begin tomorrow over the state of Odisha.
The reason for these rainfall activities will be attributed to a confluence zone which will shift from the central India to the northern areas of West Bengal.
Rainfall activities will be seen intensifying around February 26 wherein rains may be heavy in some parts. During this time, winds will be quite strong with lightning strikes being a regular feature whenever it rains.
The possibility of hailstorm in some areas of Odisha also cannot be ruled out during the rains.
Cities of Angul, Balangir, Baleshwar, Bargarh, Baudh, Bhadrak, Cuttack, Debagarh, Dhenkanal, Gajapati, Ganjam, Jagatsinghpur, Jajapur, Jharsuguda, Kalahandi, Kandhamal, Kendrapara, Kendujhar, Khordha, Koraput, Malkangiri, Mayurbhanj, Nabarangpur, Nayagarh, Nuapada, Puri, Rayagada, Sambalpur, Subarnapur, Sundargarh will be the ones where rains will be witnessed.
Talking about the coastal parts, during the rainy days, the possibility of fog during the morning hours cannot be ruled out. However, these conditions will not last for long and weather will find its clearance.
