Northern parts of the country have been witnessing some good rains for the past few days. Pre Monsoon rains have been lashing both the hills and the plains. Even today, Northern parts have seen some Pre Monsoon showers during the day.
However, now, rainfall activity is set to reduce over the northern plains and tomorrow Pre Monsoon activity will remain confined to hills of North India. Plains will not see any significant rains and only isolated activity may be seen.
Between June 23 and 27, rains will not be seen over Northern Plains and the hills as well. Thereafter, around June 28, rainfall will pick up pace and next week may see some showers for North India. These rains may act as a precursor to the onset of Southwest Monsoon and Monsoon rains may follow very soon.
