While the hills of North India are witnessing rains, a three-day spell including today is on the cards for the plains of North India as well. These rainfall activities will not be on the heavier side but some showers will be seen.

The main recipients of these rains will be northern parts of Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh along with western regions of Uttar Pradesh. The possibility of rains over Delhi also cannot be ruled out.

More rains will be seen along the foothills including the cities of Pathankot, Gurdaspur, Hoshiarpur, Ropad, Amritsar, Panchkula, Ambala, Yamuna Nagar.

These rains are to a continuation of active Western Disturbance which has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over the Northern plains. With this, the wind pattern has changed and the minimum temperature has risen to double digits and will stay the same for the next few days.

Rains will be more along the foothills, lesser over the southern half of the northern states.
