The western, central and northern parts of Uttar Pradesh have received light rains and thundershowers at many places during the last 24 hours.

Talking about figures, then Aligarh has recorded 8.8 mm of rainfall, followed by Bareilly and Meerut 7.2 mm, Hardoi 7 mm, Moradabad 6 mm, Bahraich 5.6 mm and Muzaffarnagar 4.2 mm.

In wake of these activities, the day temperatures have reduced while night temperatures have increased marginally during the last 24 hours.

According to Skymet Weather, a Western Disturbance is over North Pakistan and its adjoining Jammu and Kashmir. This system has induced a Cyclonic Circulation over Northwest Rajasthan and its adjoining Punjab. Moreover, a Trough as an upper air system is also extending from North Rajasthan up to Jharkhand across South Uttar Pradesh.

We expect these systems to continue rain and thundershower with strong winds for the next 24 hours over Muzaffarnagar, Sarhanpur, Bijnor, Bareilly, Ghaziabad, Lucknow, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, and Prayagraj. Thereafter, rains will reduce over eastern parts of Uttar Pradesh, however, northwestern parts will continue to witness rains for 48 hours. Moreover, there are also bright chances of rainfall in some pockets of the state.

Due to these activities, not much change in the temperature pattern will be noticed and these will settle in the same range only. However, Northwest Uttar Pradesh might see a marginal decrease in its day temperatures.
