The state of Madhya Pradesh has been experiencing varied weather conditions all across.

Heatwave conditions were prevailing in few parts of West Madhya Pradesh. In fact, temperatures of West Madhya Pradesh are still very high and isolated pockets are still reeling under heatwave conditions.
But in contrast, the eastern districts are receiving scattered rain and thundershower activities since last few days.
In the last 24 hours also, places like Mandla, Jabalpur, Umaria received light rains. Mandla recorded 4.3 mm of rain, followed by Sagar at 8 mm.
Currently, a trough is seen persisting from central parts of Uttar Pradesh to Rayalaseema across East Madhya Pradesh. Therefore, we expect scattered rain and thundershower activities to continue over the eastern districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Talking about the temperatures, yesterday most of the places of West MP recorded their maximum temperature in high 30’s. However, West Madhya Pradesh will continue to witness dry and hot weather.
Though monsoon is likely to mark onset over the state soon, but pre-Monsoon activities will continue over southeastern districts of Madhya Pradesh till the onset of Monsoon which expected around June 10 – June 12.
Usually there is a gap of 5-6 days in onset of monsoon between East and West Madhya Pradesh. Monsoon is likely to reach the eastern parts before around June 10 and it may take another 6-7 days to reach up to West Madhya Pradesh.
