Southern parts of Madhya Pradesh have been receiving good rain and thunder shower activities for the past few days. In fact, in the last 24 hours from 8:30 a.m. on Monday, Ujjain recorded 41 mm of rain while Bhopal heavy rainfall of 76 mm during the same time frame. Raisen 29 mm, Khandwa 15 mm.

These rainfall activities are expected to continue with the intensity being moderate over southern districts of Madhya Pradesh during the next 24 to 48 hours gradually reducing thereafter. Temperatures will also remain below normal over most parts of Madhya Pradesh.
The reason of these rainfall activities can be attributed to the inflow of strong winds from Arabian Sea. Moreover, a confluence zone is also forming over southern parts of Madhya Pradesh where in northerly northeasterly dry winds are merging with humid winds from the Arabian Sea leading to cloud formation and increased rainfall activities.
Therefore we expect online of rainfall activities to continue over many parts of Madhya Pradesh for the next 24 to 48 hours thereafter rainfall activity will subside and weather will clear up.
