The state of Uttar Pradesh has observed good rainfall activity this season. So much so that as far as rainfall statistics are concerned for Uttar Pradesh, so far, Uttar Pradesh is only deficient by 1 percent. East Uttar Pradesh is rain deficient by only 5 percent, on the other hand is the Western part is rain surplus by 7 percent.
Even in the last 48 hours scattered rainfall activity has been observed over many parts of Uttar Pradesh wherein the intensity remained between light to moderate.
Now, the western parts of the state may get isolated rainfall activity. However, major rain action will be seen over Central and Eastern Uttar Pradesh.
The reason for these rainfall activities will be the extension of a Trough from East Uttar Pradesh up to Bihar further dipping southward.
Therefore, light to moderate rainfall with isolated intense showers are expected in many areas of East and Central Uttar Pradesh. The possibility of isolated hailstorm activity during this period also cannot be ruled out.
The capital city Lucknow is also expected to see some rainfall activity during this period. Not only this, Prayagraj will also see good showers which may disrupt the Kumbh Mela 2019.
By tomorrow, rainfall intensity will go down significantly as the weather system is expected to move towards the east and increase rainfall over Eastern India.
