Rain in Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur and Latur, very warm weather in Mumbai, Nashik, Ratnagiri

The entire state of Maharashtra has been observing dry weather conditions. Vidarbha, Marathwada and South Madhya Maharashtra are currently observing very warm and hot weather conditions. In fact, yesterday, Solapur recorded 40.7˚C, followed by Amravati 40.6˚C and Parbhani 40.2˚C.

At present, an upper air trough is extending from South Vidarbha to Kerala. Due to this weather system, short spell of rain and thundershowers with squally winds are expected over South Madhya Maharashtra and South Vidarbha on March 25.

Due to presence of an anti-cyclonic over northeastern parts of Arabian Sea off coastal parts of Saurashtra & Kutch, dry and warm land winds are affecting from Gujarat and western parts of Madhya Pradesh over to North Madhya Maharashtra.

These winds are dry and warm in nature. Hence, the temperature pattern will increase over North Coastal Maharashtra and North Madhya Maharashtra. Temperatures will increase till March 25.

Thereafter, the anti-cyclonic winds will be weakening, and the temperatures will start decreasing from March 27 over Mumbai and rest parts of Vidarbha and adjoining parts.

Kolhapur, Sangli, Solapur, Osmanabad, Latur and Chandrapur and nearby places will receive rains. Meanwhile, Mumbai, Dahanu, Malegaon, Nashik, Ratnagiri will remain very warm and may even witness significant rise in day temperatures.
