Two day rainy spell in Kashmir, Himachal, Uttarakhand to reappear

The hilly states of North India have been witnessing on and off rain and thundershower activities. Moreover, the upper reaches have seen snowfall activity as well. The last 24 hours were mostly dry for the hilly states but isolated pockets in the upper reaches of Jammu and Kashmir did see some rains.

Now also, a fresh Western Disturbance is over Jammu and Kashmir region. Due to this system, a two-day rainy spell is coming up for Jammu and Kashmir, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. These activities will be occurring today and tomorrow, which will be on a reducing note thereafter on May 25. Upper reaches of the hills of North India may see some snowfall as well.

During this time, fairly widespread activity is expected with a few moderate spells as well. Moreover, during the time of rains, temperatures will also see a drop which are currently settling at around 26 degrees Celsius in Srinagar, which means a four to six drop in these two days is likely.

During the time the weather activity will reduce and gradual rise in temperatures will begin around and may reach around May 28 and 29 degrees, and settle around 28 degrees Celsius.

As far as Pre Monsoon season is concerned, the hills of North India are deficit by 30-40 percent. This spell may possibly reduce the deficiency to some extent.
