As per Skymet Weather, light to moderate rain with one or two heavy spells are likely to occur over the southern and eastern districts of Rajasthan. Districts such as Udaipur, Chittorgarh, Bundi, Bhilwara, Jaipur, Alwar, Sikar, Ajmer and Sawai Madhopur will record rainfall activity.

The adjoining state of Madhya Pradesh has also been recording showers for the past three to four days. Districts such as Dhar, Indore, Hoshangabad, Sagar, and Damoh witnessed rain in the past day as well. As per weathermen at Skymet Weather, Southwest Madhya Pradesh and adjoining Rajasthan will also observe increased rains.

The increase in rains would be due to a cyclonic circulation in the mid-levels near Gujarat and the trough which is extending from this system up to South Rajasthan.

At present, the maximum temperatures over most parts of Rajasthan are settling above 40°C. In wake of the upcoming rains the day maximums are inch down by few notches. Thus, some relief is expected from the scorching and hot weather in parts of Rajasthan.

In fact, there will be a marginal drop in maximums across Ratlam, Ujjain, Dhar, and Indore in wake of the rains.
