The state of Rajasthan has seen some good rainfall activity for the past few days. So much so that the isolated pockets have recorded hefty showers close to three digit rains.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Churu saw a whopping 95 mm of rains, Jaipur recorded hefty rains to the tune of 46 mm, Sikar saw 40 mm of rainfall, Sawai Madhopur 11 mm, Kota 7 mm, Udaipur 9 mm, Pilani 7 mm, and Ajmer 1 mm.

These rains can be attributed to the axis of Monsoon trough passing through the Rajasthan region. Moreover, easterly winds are blowing over the region resulting in enhancement of moisture over the region.

Now, as per weathermen at Skymet Weather, the southeastern parts of Rajasthan are expected to witness moderate to heavy rainfall activity. Meanwhile, rest of East Rajasthan is expected to see light to moderate rainfall activity. Remaining parts of Rajasthan may see isolated rainfall activity, however, the cities of Jaisalmer and Barmer will remain dry and hot.
Moreover, a few spells of rain and thundershowers along with strong gusty winds may appear over the cities of Ajmer, Alwar, Banswara, Baran, Bharatpur, Bhilwara, Bikaner, Bundi, Chittorgarh, Churu, Dausa, Dhaulpur, Dungarpur, Hanumangarh, Jaipur, Jhalawar, Jhunjhunu, Jodhpur, Karauli, Kota, Nagaur, Pali, Pratapgarh, Rajsamand, Sawai Madhopur, Sikar, Tonk and Udaipur during next 10 to 12 hours.
