As predicted by Skymet Weather, rains have once again returned to Rajasthan. These rains can be attributed to the fresh Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir, which has induced a cyclonic circulation over Northwest Rajasthan and adjoining areas of Punjab and Haryana.
Places such as Jaipur, Tonk, Sri Ganganagar, and Sikar have already started witnessing light rains. According to weathermen, we expect rains and thundershowers to stay throughout the day. These showers would also be accompanied with high velocity winds along with isolated chances of hailstorm.
We expect rains to take a backseat by March 15 as the cyclonic circulation would vacate the region.
In wake of this spell, minimum temperatures would see a marginal drop during the next 24 to 48 hours. However, maximum temperatures would continue to settle around the normal average.
Rajasthan has been witnessing on and off spells of rains and thundershowers for last many days. Due to this, summers are yet to make an onset over the region. Usually by this time in March, maximum temperatures start witnessing an increasing trend. However, this has not been the case this year.
As per weathermen, both day and night temperatures are likely to increase from March 17 or 18 onwards.
