The state of Rajasthan has been seeing varied weather conditions with the western parts witnessing high maximums while rains have been occurring over other parts of the state. In fact, the last 24 hours have also been rainy for the eastern regions.

Moreover, moderate rains with one or to heavy spells have occurred over Rajasthan. In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, Sawai Madhopur saw a whopping 64 mm of rainfall, Tonk saw 40 mm of rainfall. Jaipur recorded a good 20 mm of rainfall, Ajmer 3.5 mm, Bhilwara 2.7 mm, Bundi 5 mm, Kota 1.2 mm.

Now, the depression which is over Northwest Odisha will gradually move west towards Madhya Pradesh. Thus, good rains are expected to continue over East Rajasthan for at least the next two to three days.

In fact, cities of Jaipur, Tonk, Sawai Madhopur, Ajmer, Bundi and Kota may see some good rainfall activities in the coming days.

Moreover, few spells of light rains and one or two moderate showers may also occur over western districts of the state. However, intensity of rains will be on the lower side as compared to the eastern parts.

By September 10, weather is likely to become absolutely dry over West Rajasthan, but isolated pockets of East Rajasthan may receive on and off light rains.
