Monsoon rains have been drenching Hyderabad for the past 48 hours. However, intensity remained light but has paved way for pleasant weather conditions.
In the last 24 hours from 8:30 am on Thursday, the state capital has recorded 10 mm of rains.
Meanwhile, the intensity of rains have been more northern parts of Telangana, wherein the region has been recording moderate rains. Isolated have also recorded heavy rains like Ramagundam has witnessed 42 mm of rains, while Nizamabad saw 12 mm.
These ongoing rains can be attributed to a cyclonic circulation marked over East Rajasthan and adjoining North Telangana. As the system would persist, moderate rains are likely to continue over northern parts of the state such as Adilabad, Nizamabad and Ramagundam for the next 48 hours.
Hyderabad would only settle with light rain on Friday and Saturday. As per weathermen, any spell of heavy rain is ruled out.
In wake of these rains, weather would remain extremely pleasant over the entire state over the weekend. Rains would reduce by August 25 but light rains would continue.
August has performed well for Telangana including Hyderabad. Although rains have not been heavy to very heavy but light to moderate rains have been persisting.
