Rain in Hyderabad, Ramagundam, Nizamabad, Bhadrachalam

Southwest Monsoon has marked its onset over the entire state of Telangana, and good rainfall activity is going on over many parts of the state. During the last 24 hours, moderate rains occurred over the northern parts of Telangana and Ramagundam recorded good rainfall activity to the tune of 22.8 mm.

In the last 24 hours, Nizamabad recorded 10.4 mm of rain, followed by Khammam 16 mm, Nalgonda 19 mm and Hyderabad 0.6 mm.

As monsoon surge is shifting northwards and passing across Maharashtra, Vidarbha and Odisha. Simultaneously, an off-shore trough is seen extending from North Maharashtra to Kerala Coast.

Hence, moist winds are affecting over Telangana region. The northern parts of Telangana will receive moderate rain and thundershowers at many places with heavy spells at few places.

While, southern parts of Telangana will receive light rains. Sky condition will remain cloudy to overcast.

Day temperatures which are currently being recorded below normal, are expected to rise over southern parts of Telangana during the next 24-36 hours. Other parts of the state may witness some drop in the maximum temperatures. Minimums may also fall to some extent.

Places like Adilabad, Ramagundam, Karipur, Nizamabad, Khammam, Bhadrachalam will receive moderate rainfall activity.
