The state of Telangana has been witnessing some rainfall activity since about a day or two. The last 24 hours were also quite rainy for the state and light to moderate rains were witnessed over many parts of Telangana.

In a span of 24 hours from 8:30 am on Saturday, Hanamkonda saw 22 mm of rains, Medak 20 mm, Hyderabad witnessed 15.8 mm of rainfall, Bhadrachalam 20 mm, Nizamabad 5.7 mm, Nalgonda 19 mm, Ramagundam 10.7 mm,
Due to presence of low pressure over Northwest Bay of Bengal which has now become a cyclonic circulation and shifted to North Odisha, heavy to very heavy rains are expected over parts of Northwest Telangana during the next 24 hours. Meanwhile, northern Telangana will see moderate rains. However, South Telangana will only see light rains. Sky conditions over the entire state will be overcast to cloudy.
Significant fall in the day temperatures will occur over northern parts of Telangana while southern parts will remain warm.
Cities like Adilabad, Medak, Najibabad, Karimnagar may receive moderate to heavy rains during next 24 hours. Meanwhile, Khammam, Hanamkonda, Bhadrachalam, Hyderabad Nalgonda will receive light to moderate rains.
After 24 hours, these rains will reduce significantly as the system will move away in a west northwestward direction.
