While the cyclone is making a move and is all set to soon make a landfall over the Andhra Pradesh coast, Hyderabad, the capital city of neighboring state Telangana will not stay untouched.

Since the past few days, dry weather has been prevailing over the entire state of Telangana including the city of Hyderabad. However, heavy rains had lashed Hyderabad but weather became dry thereafter. For the next 12-18 hours, dry weather will continue.

However, in the presence of Cyclonic storm “Phethai” over Southwest Bay of Bengal, cloud cover has increased over the city during the last 24-36 hours. With the approaching system, clouding will increase and become further dense over the city. Moreover, surface winds will increase and become moderate. Thereafter, light to moderate rain and thundershower activity is possible over the entire city.

If we look at the temperature figures for now, in the last 24 hours, maximums over Hyderabad were recorded around 27.5°C whereas minimums were somewhere around 16.6°C. However, this is set to change as in the coming days, night temperatures are expected to increase over the city while day temperatures will show a significant decrease.
