The state of Gujarat has not seen a good Monsoon run so far with all the regions in the state remaining deficient. In fact, the state has not seen good Monsoon showers in a very long time.
However, a weather system is coming up in the Bay of Bengal which may see some intensification. The system may not be a strong one as such but the spread is quite good. The intensity of rains over parts may not be very heavy but the system is expected to give moderate rains across Maharashtra, Chhattisgarh and finally reach the state of Gujarat.
Thus, rainfall activity is expected to be seen over Gujarat during the last day of August and carry on into the first few days of the month of September as well. Most parts of the state are expected to see moderate showers. Very heavy showers are not to be seen.
The remnant of the system before it shifts northward will give in some good showers over the state of Gujarat resulting in some relief for the residents.
