While Sri Ganganagar received light rain, Churu recorded 5 mm rainfall in during the same time.

This spell of rain can be attributed to the induced cyclonic circulation, which is presently over Central Pakistan and Rajasthan.

This cyclonic circulation will remain over Rajasthan moving in an eastward direction. In the process, the system will continue to give scattered rain over other parts of the state.

After 24 hours, the intensity of rain will remain confined over the northern parts of Rajasthan. Hailstorm may also occur over a few areas.

Places like Sri Ganganagar, Bikaner, Churu and Alwar may observe good rainfall activity.

Warm and humid winds from the Arabian Sea are increasing moisture over southern and eastern parts of Gujarat. This will aid in the development of clouds and eventually rainfall activities. After 24 hours, rain intensity will significantly decrease and dry weather conditions will prevail over Gujarat.

As the cyclonic circulation reaches Central and adjoining North Rajasthan, it will lead to increase in the intensity of rainfall over the region. We expect good rain and thundershowers over Central and North Rajasthan from next 48 hours. Isolated places could receive hailstorm activities as well. By March 6, weather will start clearing up and the rain belt will shift in the northeast direction, towards the Terrai region of Uttar Pradesh.

At present maximum temperatures are running 4 to 6 degree Celsius above normal. During next 48 hours we expect a drop of 3 to 4 degree Celsius in most parts and 6 to 8 degree Celsius in few parts.
