Rain in Delhi to stay longer, pleasant weather continues

April 16, 2014 12:54 PM |

According to the latest weather update by Skymet Meteorology Division in India, rain in Delhi is expected to continue till Saturday as there is another circulation lying over central Pakistan and adjoining west Rajasthan, which will make its presence felt after the exit of the present cyclonic circulation over east Rajasthan.  Some parts of Delhi recorded rain early morning on Wednesday, with Safdarjung Observatory receiving 2 mm of rain.

Due to this circulation, moist winds from the Arabian Sea will continue to invade  the region for the next two days as wind conditions are unlikely to change till the weather system remains in place. This will help to keep the weather in Delhi pleasant during the period.

Rain in Delhi came after one of the hottest days in April was observed on Tuesday. The maximum temperature recorded was 36.5°C. According to the latest weather update, below or near normal day temperatures will continue to prevail till Sunday. The previous two days when the maximums recorded the highest in Delhi were 6th April (38°C) and 12th April (37.3°C).

Meanwhile, overnight clouding led to rise in minimum temperature that recorded 23°C on Wednesday morning, three notches above normal. Morning temperatures are also likely to remain in the early twenties in the national capital for the next 48 hours.
