As predicted by Skymet Weather, Delhi has witnessed short and sharp spell of rain and thundershowers on Saturday evening. Several places across Delhi recorded scattered light to moderate rain during early evening hours.
The activity has paved way for the pleasant weather, as day temperatures have dropped by four degrees since the noon hours. At present, the temperature over national capital is 28°C.
On Saturday, Delhi has recorded maximum temperature at 32.6°C. While, Palam Observatory had day maximum of 35°C.
The sky was partly cloudy throughout the day but thick clouds started evolving over the city by 05:00 pm. Rain activity was also accompanied by thunderstorm over many areas.
According to Skymet Weather, the weather over the city can be attributed to the passage of Western Disturbance over Jammu and Kashmir and its induced cyclonic circulation over Punjab and Haryana region.
Both the systems are moving away in the east direction and are likely to clear the region during next 24 hours.
In wake of this, pleasant weather will prevail over Delhi for next few hours. Weather will go dry Sunday onwards and clear sky will prevail thereafter.
